Product details

The development and manufacture of the specific towbar for your vehicle has been taken over by the exclusive manufacturer Westfalia. Westfalia A40V automatic system, a bottom-mounted towbar system. The A40V is Westfalia's bestseller. The system is attached to your vehicle almost invisibly. Another advantage of this bottom-mounted towbar is the patented locking system and you get 1A Westfalia quality.

This towbar can be secured against theft by an integrated lock. Towing capacity up to 1500 kg and a vertical load of 80 kg characterize this towbar. Westfalia submitted a fatigue value of 8.5 kN.

A cut in the lower part of the bumper is required during installation. This cut will not be visible. Bumper cut dimensions and template are part of the instructions.

In our "Bicycle carriers" category, you will also find suitable transport solutions for your trailer coupling. The vehicle manufacturer uses towbars from Westfalia for its original equipment, which stand for good quality at a reasonable price.

Additional fitting instructions are available on the Rameder website, where customers share their experiences to speed up your installation process. The official installation guide is included too. This towbar features a cathodic electro-dip coating. This is a modern and efficient painting process that uses environmentally friendly, water-soluble epoxy resis with electrical current and temperatures of approx. 200°C. The result is effective corrosion protection combined with a high-quality smooth surface.
