  • Vehicles up to model year 2013 with Audi PR code "1D8" have a prepared 12x connector, we can check which PR code your vehicle has with the help of the chassis number.
  • if the vehicle is pre-equipped for the AHK, there will be an open 12-pin connector (in the boot behind the right-hand side panel)
  • it is possible that the engine cooling system of the vehicle is not equipped for operation of a trailer; in such cases it may be necessary to replace parts of the cooling system (e.g. fans)

1 The indicated fitting times for towbars and wiring kits are related to the regular installation of these products. Some car models might require additional work like disassembling the bumper.
Product details

The 7 pole wiring kit especially for your vehicle is produced by the manufacturer ECS. The handling of this 7 pole wiring kit is extremely simple: It is recognized by the data bus system in your vehicle and is ready for use after coding the vehicle for trailer operation. From now on, the wiring kit will inform you via the vehicle's own system if the lighting on the trailer is faulty.

The 7 pole data bus electrical kit ensures that the factory-fitted parking aid on your vehicle is automatically switched off. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. A cable gland suitable for the vehicle-specific 7 pole wiring harness is already available on your vehicle. Therefore, you do not have to drill through the rear panel of your vehicle during installation.
