This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. To install this vehicle-specific 7 pole wiring kit, you do not need to machine the rear panel of your vehicle. There is already a suitable cable gland in the rear of your vehicle that can be used for this purpose. The manufacturer ECS specifies an installation time of 0.5 hour(s) for this 7 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hours for installation.
In some countries it is not allowed to use a bicycle carrier with this towbar because there is no option to automatically turn off the fog lights.
