The factory-fitted parking aid on the vehicle is automatically switched off by this 13 pole relay electrical kit. The user-friendly installation instructions, the high-quality, vehicle-specific plug connection and the cable lengths and colors matched to the vehicle are the most outstanding features of this wiring kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. To install this vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring kit, you do not need to machine the rear panel of your vehicle. There is already a suitable cable gland in the rear of your vehicle that can be used for this purpose. TowTec specifies an intallation time of 0.5 hour(s) for this 13 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1 hour(s). The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
