Product details

The 13 pole ECS wiring kit is supplied specifically for your vehicle. This 13 pole wiring kit is integrated into the existing data bus system of your vehicle . Defective trailer lighting is indicated by the vehicle's own systems. Once the wiring kit has been installed, the vehicle must be coded for trailer operation.

The factory-fitted parking aid on the vehicle is automatically deactivated by this 13 pole data bus wiring kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. A cable gland suitable for the vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring harness is already available on your vehicle. Therefore, you do not have to drill through the rear panel of your vehicle during installation. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

The trailer socket is connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging. This extension set is ideal to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
