Product details

The 7 pole wiring kit especially for your vehicle is produced by the manufacturer ECS. This 7 pole wiring kit is integrated into the existing data bus system of your vehicle . Defective trailer lighting is indicated by the vehicle's own systems. Once the wiring kit has been installed, the vehicle must be coded for trailer operation.

The 7 pole data bus electrical kit ensures that the factory-fitted parking aid on your vehicle is automatically switched off. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. To install this vehicle-specific 7 pole wiring kit, you do not need to machine the rear panel of your vehicle. There is already a suitable cable gland in the rear of your vehicle that can be used for this purpose. ECS specifies an intallation time of 1 hour(s) for this 7 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1.5 hour(s). It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
