This vehicle-specific 7 pole wiring kit for your vehicle is from the manufacturer ECS. Once the 7 pole wiring kit has been integrated into your vehicle's data bus system, it reliably indicates faulty trailer lighting using the vehicle's own system. After installing the wiring kit, the vehicle must be set to trailer operation.
The factory-fitted parking aid on the vehicle is automatically deactivated by this 7 pole data bus wiring kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. A cable gland suitable for the vehicle-specific 7 pole wiring harness is already available on your vehicle. Therefore, you do not have to drill through the rear panel of your vehicle during installation. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
