This wiring kit with 13 poles is connected to the vehicle's existing data bus system. If the trailer lighting is faulty, the car's system will indicate this. Attention! Coding is no longer necessary with this wiring kit.
The 13 pole data bus electrical kit ensures that the factory-fitted parking aid on your vehicle is automatically switched off. High-quality, vehicle-specific plug connections, adapted cable lengths and colors as well as detailed installation instructions are the hallmarks of this wiring kit. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. Your vehicle already has a cable feed-through, which is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring kit. This eliminates the need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle.
The trailer socket is connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging. This extension set is ideal to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
