The manufacturer TowTec produces this 7-pin electrical kit for the SMART FORFOUR. This EU-version of this wiring kit will not signal trailer turn light defects. The electrical set is not suitable for indicator monitoring, since a module is not included in delivery.
You could even turn off the parking assistance of your SMART FORFOUR with a push on a dashboard button. TowTec specifies an installation time of 1.5 hour(s) for this 7 pin kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1 hour(s).
In some countries it is not allowed to use a bicycle carrier with this towbar because there is no option to automatically switch off the fog lights.
