This 13 pin electric wiring kit from ConWys is made specifically for your BMW X5 . This 13-pin electrical kit is connected to the existing data bus system of the BMW X5. The car system will signal a fault in the trailer lighting. Attention! Coding is no longer necessary with this electrical kit.
If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your BMW X5 with a push on a dashboard button. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed BMW X5 installation manual. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your BMW X5. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin kit.
In some countries it is not allowed to use a bicycle carrier with this towbar because there is no option to automatically turn off the fog lights.
The trailer socket is connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging. This extension set is ideal to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
