This 13 pin ECS wiring kit is made specifically for your PEUGEOT 508 I. The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your PEUGEOT 508 I and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your PEUGEOT 508 I is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. ECS specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hour(s).
The trailer socket is connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging. This extension set is ideal to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
