This 13 pin ECS wiring kit is made specifically for your VW GOLF V. After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your VW GOLF V, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.

An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your VW GOLF V is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VW GOLF V . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. ECS specifies an installation time of 0.5 hour(s) for this 13 pin kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 3 hour(s).

The trailer socket is connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging. This extension set is ideal to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
