This 13 pin ECS wiring kit is made specifically for your VW GOLF VI Convertible. The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your VW GOLF VI Convertible and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.

A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your VW GOLF VI Convertible is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VW GOLF VI Convertible . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. ECS specifies an intallation time of 0.5 hour(s) for this 13 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 3 hour(s).

The trailer socket is connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging. This extension set is ideal to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
