This 13 pin electric wiring kit from ECS is made specifically for your VW PASSAT B6 . This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your VW PASSAT B6 . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your VW PASSAT B6 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your VW PASSAT B6. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
