The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your JAGUAR XE and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your JAGUAR XE is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your JAGUAR XE. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin kit. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to a steady plus function. And pin 10 can be used for trailer 12 volt battery charging to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
