  • this wiring harness kit was developed for vehicles with no pre-equipment, but can also be used on vehicles with the 12-pin connector

Product details

This 13 pin ECS wiring kit is made specifically for your AUDI A5. After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your AUDI A5, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.

A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your AUDI A5 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed AUDI A5 installation manual. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your AUDI A5. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin kit.

The trailer socket is connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging. This extension set is ideal to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
