this wiring harness kit was developed for vehicles with no pre-equipment, but can also be used on vehicles with the 12-pin connector

This 13 pin ECS wiring kit is made specifically for your AUDI A4 B8. The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your AUDI A4 B8 and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.

An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your AUDI A4 B8 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed AUDI A4 B8 installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your AUDI A4 B8 . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit.

The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to a steady plus function. And pin 10 can be used for trailer 12 volt battery charging to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
