This 13 pin electric wiring kit from ECS is made specifically for your KIA EV5 . This 13-pin electrical kit is easily integrated into the existing data bus system of your KIA EV5. If the trailer lights are damaged, the car's own system will signal the fault. Manual coding is not required with this electrical kit.
If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your KIA EV5 with a push on a dashboard button. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed KIA EV5 installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your KIA EV5. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to a steady plus function. And pin 10 can be used for trailer 12 volt battery charging to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
