Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.

The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 7 pin CAN-bus module kit. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VW PASSAT B8 Variant . It is used by this vehicle-specific 7 pin electrical kit. It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket.
