This 13 pin electric wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is made specifically for your LAND ROVER DEFENDER Station Wagon . The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your LAND ROVER DEFENDER Station Wagon and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your LAND ROVER DEFENDER Station Wagon is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed LAND ROVER DEFENDER Station Wagon installation manual. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your LAND ROVER DEFENDER Station Wagon. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit. It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
