This extension kit is necessary for some electrical kits in order to switch off the rear fog lamp of your vehicle when using a bike carrier or trailer.
When using a trailer, the rear fog lamp of the towing vehicle must be switched off to reduce glare. This is obligatory in Germany when using load carriers (e.g. bike carriers).
If the towing vehicle is equipped with two rear fog lamps, you need this extension kit twice.
If your vehicle has a dual light function, this extension kit cannot be used.
