This 7 pin kit for your BMW 5 is made by TowTec for your car. The operation of this 7-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your BMW 5 and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your BMW 5 is supported by this 7 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed BMW 5 installation manual. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your BMW 5. It is used by this vehicle-specific 7 pin kit. It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
