This 7 pin wire kit for your MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS is produced by TowTec for your car. This 7-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.
An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS is supported by this 7 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS installation manual. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your MERCEDES-BENZ M-CLASS. It is used by this vehicle-specific 7 pin kit. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
In some countries it is not allowed to use a bicycle carrier with this towbar because there is no option to automatically turn off the fog lights.
