This 7 pin kit for your BMW 1 is made by TowTec for your car. The operation of this 7-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your BMW 1 and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your BMW 1 is supported by this 7 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
