  • this wiring harness kit was developed for vehicles with no pre-equipment, but can also be used on vehicles with the 12-pin connector
  • it is possible that the engine cooling system of the vehicle is not equipped for operation of a trailer; in such cases it may be necessary to replace parts of the cooling system (e.g. fans)

Product details

This 7 pin kit for your AUDI A5 is made by TowTec for your car. The operation of this 7-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your AUDI A5 and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.

An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your AUDI A5 is supported by this 7 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed AUDI A5 installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your AUDI A5 . It is used by this vehicle-specific 7 pin electrical kit.
