Product details

This 13 pole wiring kit from TowTec is supplied vehicle-specific for your vehicle. Once the 13 pole wiring kit has been integrated into your vehicle's data bus system, it reliably indicates faulty trailer lighting using the vehicle's own system. After installing the wiring kit, the vehicle must be set to trailer operation.

The factory-fitted parking aid on the vehicle is automatically deactivated by this 13 pole data bus wiring kit. The user-friendly installation instructions, the high-quality, vehicle-specific plug connection and the cable lengths and colors matched to the vehicle are the most outstanding features of this wiring kit. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. A cable gland suitable for the vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring harness is already available on your vehicle. Therefore, you do not have to drill through the rear panel of your vehicle during installation. The manufacturer TowTec specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hours for installation. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

The socket is connected with pin 9 to the steady plus. Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
