This 13 pole wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is supplied vehicle-specific for your vehicle. The handling of this 13 pole wiring kit is extremely simple: It is recognized by the data bus system in your vehicle and is ready for use after coding the vehicle for trailer operation. From now on, the wiring kit will inform you via the vehicle's own system if the lighting on the trailer is faulty.
The 13 pole data bus electrical kit ensures that the factory-fitted parking aid on your vehicle is automatically switched off. The user-friendly installation instructions, the high-quality, vehicle-specific plug connection and the cable lengths and colors matched to the vehicle are the most outstanding features of this wiring kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. To install this vehicle-specific 13 pole wiring kit, you do not need to machine the rear panel of your vehicle. There is already a suitable cable gland in the rear of your vehicle that can be used for this purpose. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 for steady plus. Pin 10 can be used for 12 volt battery charging to connect additional electric consumers (e.g interior lighting, refrigerator, radio) while simultaneously charging a 12 V battery in the trailer.
