This 13 pin electric wiring kit from TowTec is made specifically for your VOLVO S80 I . The wire kit will activate the specific trailer turn light control indicator in the dashboard. This function must not be activated on your VOLVO S80 I.
If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your VOLVO S80 I with a push on a dashboard button. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed VOLVO S80 I installation manual. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
