No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your RENAULT ESPACE V. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin kit.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
