This 13 pin ConWys wiring kit is made specifically for your VOLVO XC40. This 13 pin summer wiring kit will trigger a warning sound when a faulty trailer turn light is detected.
If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your VOLVO XC40 with a push on a dashboard button. Included in this kit: high-quality, vehicle-specific colour-coded plug connectors, custom cable lengths and a detailed VOLVO XC40 installation manual. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your VOLVO XC40. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
