After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.

An automatic deactivation of the parking assist function of your BMW X5 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. ECS specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hour(s).

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
