This 13 pin electric wiring kit from ECS is made specifically for your BMW 5 Gran Turismo . This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your BMW 5 Gran Turismo . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.

A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your BMW 5 Gran Turismo is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. The manufacturer ECS specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hours for installation.

Extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus to power electric items in the trailer with the 107650 with steady-plus function. Or you can use pin 9 for steady plus and pin 10 to charge a second battery in the trailer. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
