This 13 pin electric wiring kit from ECS is made specifically for your BMW 3 Gran Turismo . This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your BMW 3 Gran Turismo . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.

If available you can turn off parking assistance of your BMW 3 Gran Turismo with a button on your dashboard. ECS specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hour(s).

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
