This 13 pin electric wiring kit from ECS is made specifically for your CITROËN C8 . After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your CITROËN C8, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your CITROËN C8 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. The manufacturer ECS specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hours for installation.
To automatically turn off the rear fog lamp(s) of your CITROËN C8 when using a trailer or bicycle carrier, accessory ZB6335 can be used, as the use of a bicycle carrier is not permitted in some countries if automatic switching off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not supported. If your vehicle is equipped with two rear fog lamps, the accessory ZB6335 must be installed 2 times.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
The product ZB5437 is necessary if you want to install this 13-pin specific electrical kit. You should therefore include it in your order.
