This 13 pin ECS wiring kit is made specifically for your CITROËN C8. After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your CITROËN C8, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your CITROËN C8 is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. The manufacturer ECS specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hours for installation.
To automatically switch off the rear fog lamp(s) of your CITROËN C8 when a trailer or bicycle carrier is installed, you can use this accessory: ZB6335. This your vehicle is equipped with two rear fog lamps, accessory ZB6335 is required 2 times. This accessory is required because in some countries the use of a bicycle carrier is not permitted if automatic switching off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not supported.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
The ORGA number of your CITROËN C8 can be found on an adhesive label or sign on the A or B pillar. The electrical set is suitable from ORGA no. 10585 onwards.
You should also order article ZB5437 in order to correctly mount the 13-pin specific electrical kit.
