This 13 pin ECS wiring kit is made specifically for your BMW 2 Coupe. This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your BMW 2 Coupe . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. Attention! The vehicle does not require coding with this electrical kit.

If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your BMW 2 Coupe with a push on a dashboard button. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your BMW 2 Coupe. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit. It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.

The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the steady plus (to operate electrical loads). Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
