The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your AUDI A3 Convertible and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your AUDI A3 Convertible is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your AUDI A3 Convertible. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit. Erich Jaeger specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 2 hour(s). It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
Extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus to power electric items in the trailer with the 107650 with steady-plus function.
