The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Convertible and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.

The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the vehicle. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS Convertible . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. Erich Jaeger specifies an intallation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1.5 hour(s). The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the steady plus (to operate electrical loads). Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
