This 13 pin Erich Jaeger wiring kit is made specifically for your VW TOURAN. After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your VW TOURAN, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.
The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VW TOURAN . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. The manufacturer Erich Jaeger specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 2.5 hours for installation. It's not required to connect each cable to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
