This 13 pin electric wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is made specifically for your FORD MONDEO IV . After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your FORD MONDEO IV, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.

The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your FORD MONDEO IV. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin kit. Erich Jaeger specifies an intallation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1.5 hour(s). It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer). By adding the extension set 107650 you can combine charging and steady plus.
