This 13 pin electric wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is made specifically for your BMW 5 Touring . This 13-pin electrical kit is easily integrated into the existing data bus system of your BMW 5 Touring. If the trailer lights are damaged, the car's own system will signal the fault. Manual coding is not required with this electrical kit.

A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your BMW 5 Touring is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. The manufacturer Erich Jaeger specifies an installation time of 1 hour(s) for this 13 pin wire kit. We have found that it is better to foresee 1.5 hours for installation. It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.

The socket is connected with pin 9 to the steady plus. Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
