This 13 pin electric wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is made specifically for your MERCEDES-BENZ V-CLASS . The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your MERCEDES-BENZ V-CLASS and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your MERCEDES-BENZ V-CLASS with a push on a dashboard button. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your MERCEDES-BENZ V-CLASS. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the steady plus (to operate electrical loads). Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
