From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
If possible you can turn off parking assistance of your MERCEDES-BENZ VITO Tourer with a push on a dashboard button. The installation of this electrical kit takes place in the boot only. Prerequisite for continuous current (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit is available in the rear of the vehicle. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle.
