This 13 pin electric wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is made specifically for your VW POLO V . This 13-pin electrical kit connects to the existing data bus system in your VW POLO V . Faulty trailer lights will be indicated by the car's own system. After installation of this electrical kit, the car needs to be coded for trailer use.

A shutdown of the factory-installed parking assist function of your VW POLO V is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module electrical kit. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VW POLO V . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.

It is possible to extend pin 9 of the trailer socket to steady plus (to power electric items in the trailer) or pin 9 to steady plus and pin 10 to charge (e.g. a separate battery in the trailer) by adding the extension set 107650. A combinet retrofit solution for steady plus and charge 139243 is available separately.
