After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your AUDI A5 Convertible, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.
The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your AUDI A5 Convertible. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit. It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
The socket is connected with pin 9 to the steady plus. Extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge a battery in your trailer.
