This 13 pin electric wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is made specifically for your VW TOUAREG . The operation of this 13-pin electrical kit is very simple: It is detected by the data bus system in your VW TOUAREG and is ready for operation after the vehicle has been coded for trailer operation. From now on, the electrical kit will inform you via the car's own system if the trailer lights are faulty.
The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No need to drill into the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet already exists on your VW TOUAREG . It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin electrical kit. It's not required to connect the cables to a trailer socket. A socket is already connected with this kit.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the permanent positive current function. It is possible to extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge the trailer battery.
