This 13 pin electric wiring kit from Erich Jaeger is made specifically for your MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Convertible . After the 13-pin electrical kit is integrated in the data bus system of your MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Convertible, it reliably signals faulty trailer lights through the car's own system. The vehicle must be configured for trailer operation after the electrical kit has been installed.
The automatic deactivation of the parking assist function is supported by this 13 pin CAN-bus module kit. This electrical kit is installed in the boot only. A continuous current connection (terminal 30) for the trailer control unit must be available in the rear of the car. No drilling in the rear panel of the vehicle. A grommet is already present on your MERCEDES-BENZ C-CLASS Convertible. It is used by this vehicle-specific 13 pin wiring kit. The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.
In some countries it is not allowed to use a bicycle carrier with this towbar because there is no option to automatically switch off the fog lights.
The trailer socket is already connected with pin 9 to the permanent positive current function. It is possible to extend pin 10 with accessory 139243 to charge the trailer battery.
