This 7-pin electrical kit for the BMW 5 Touring is produced by the manufacturer TowTec.

If your car has a parking assistance feature, it can be automatically shut down by the optional item 171084 when the trailer is coupled to the towbar. TowTec specifies an intallation time of 1 hour(s) for this 7 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1 hour(s). The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

To automatically switch off the rear fog lamp(s) of your BMW 5 Touring , you can use this accessory: 171084. in Iome countries this accessory is required as the use of a bicycle carrier is not permitted if automatic switching off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not supported.
