This 7-pin electrical kit for the VOLVO V40 Hatchback is produced by the manufacturer TowTec.

If your car has a parking assistance feature it can be automatically shut down when the trailer is coupled to the towbar. For this function you need this optional item: 171084. TowTec specifies an intallation time of 1 hour(s) for this 7 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1 hour(s). The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

To automatically switch off the rear fog lamp(s) of your VOLVO V40 Hatchback , you can use this accessory: 171084. in Iome countries this accessory is required as the use of a bicycle carrier is not permitted if automatic switching off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not supported.
