The manufacturer TowTec produces this 7-pin electrical kit for the DODGE RAM 1500 Pickup.

If your car has a parking assistance feature it can be automatically shut down when the trailer is coupled to the towbar. For this function you need this optional item: 171084. TowTec specifies an intallation time of 1 hour(s) for this 7 pin wiring kit. We know from experience that it is better to foresee 1 hour(s). The socket of the electrical kit is already connected. It is therefore not required to connect each cable to the trailer socket.

To automatically turn off the rear fog lamp(s) of your DODGE RAM 1500 Pickup, accessory 171084 can be used. If a self-actuating shut-off of the rear fog lamp(s) is not possible, a bicycle carrier cannot be installed in some countries.
